DILWALE Is Heading For 100 Cr Nett Week OneThe biggest weekend arrived and much awaited clash took place at box office. ''Dilwale'' and ''Bajirao Mastani'' have created buzz before release. Both films have some USPs and both have very different type of treatment.
''Dilwale'' has opened in approximate 3200 screens which is almost 35% less than ''PK'' or PRDP. On top of that, yesterday was working day and there was no holiday edge. Still film opened to phenomenal response all over with 70% occupancy. Film was solid in East, North and South as expected.
Film collected 21 cr nett on day one which is equal to 30 cr plus if we take out clash factor. ''Dhoom 3'' had highest non holiday opening of 34 cr nett to see things in right perspective. Film lost 75 lakhs -1 cr business yesterday due to protest and external factors. Saturday was a crucial day for the film as it needed similar total as Friday but it went down a bit.
Film struggled in Mumbai, CP and CI due to competition and cancellation of shows due to protests. Film collected 20.09 cr nett on Saturday. Film grew well on Sunday and collected 24 cr nett with growth of 15% over Friday. Film dropped by 55% on Monday in comparison to Friday and collected 10.09 cr nett. Film added 9.42 cr nett on Tuesday with minimal drop followed by 8.80 cr nett on Wednesday.
Film has weekend total of 65.09 cr nett and 6 day total of 93.40 cr nett. Film collected very good numbers overseas with UAE collecting 3 million dollar plus over weekend which is all time record. Film collected 8.5 million $ (56.38 cr) over weekend in overseas and that is highest in 2015 and 2nd best of all time. Film collected 145 cr worldwide gross weekend.
