Saturday, 6th June 2015, 1:29 PM IST Aamir Khan has been pulled into a legal tussle due to the title of his show 'Satyamev Jayate'. An activist has sent a legal notice to Aamir for using the emblem of the country as the title of his show, allegedly without the permission of Central government. Activist Manoranjan Roy says the name 'Satyamev Jayate' is a part of the national emblem. The notice has been sent by advocate Manoj Singh on Roy's behalf. It demands that producers of the show provide a copy of government permission. "Otherwise our client has given us peremptory instructions to initiate legal proceedings against you," it states. The notice's recipients are Aamir, his wife Kiran Rao and Satyajit Bhatkal, who directs the show. The title 'Satyamev Jayate' is a part of the State Emblem which cannot be used without permission as per State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act 2009, it says. No power has the right to register or grant copyright which contains the State Emblem or its part, the notice says. It also adds, "it cannot be used to get monetary benefit or for the purpose of advertisement."
