Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra will be starring in Karan Malhotra’s Hindi remake of Gavin O'Conner's 2011 boxing drama ‘Warrior’.

The original film starred Tom Hardy and Edward Edgerton as two brothers. The film’s original producers Lionsgate will partner with Endemol India for this project.

Sidharth is set to play the role of Tom Hardy, while Akshay will be playing Edward Edgerton's character.

"Since the two heroes are required  to practice mixed martial arts Akshay and Sidharth are ideal for the parts. They both practice martial arts in real life," says the source.
