Himesh Says Songs Of PRDP Are Romantic But Also Have Salman’s Signature Flair

Friday, 5th June 2015, 6:04 PM IST Himesh Reshammiya has composed nine songs for Salman Khan starrer ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. Talking about the songs Himesh says that they are romantic, but also has the superstar's signature flair. Himesh said, "'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' is the most-awaited film of the year and I have tried to live up to the expectations of Sooraj ji's script and Salman bhai's persona, which is historic." He further said the songs are "purely romantic melodies which are very soulful and yet have Salman Khan's stamp on them." ‘PRDP’ reunites Salman with director Sooraj Barjatya after 16 years and it also brings back Himesh and Salman after ‘Bodyguard’ (2011). The musician has earlier composed music for the superstar’s films like ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’, ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?’, ‘Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa’ and ‘Hello Brother’. When Himesh was asked about the recent trend of actors singing in their films, he said, "If actors are singing well and churning out hits then I think it is a beautiful trend. There is no harm if it's converting into success, like in the case of Salman bhai."
