Music Review: HAMARI ADHURI KAHANI Has Exceptionally Romantic And Soulful Tracks

Tuesday, 9th June 2015, 2:19 PM IST Music Composers: Jeet Gannguli, Mithoon, Ami Mishra Lyricists: Rashmi Singh, Virag Mishra, Sayeed Quadri, Kunaal Vermaa Mohit Suri, who impressed us with his romantic films like ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Ek Villain’, is back with one more romantic-drama titled ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ starring Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan. The movie is produced by the Bhatts. Movies made by the Bhatts always have some great music, so let’s see what’s in store for us when it comes to the music of ‘HAK’. The album starts with the title track ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’. It’s a heart touching number which will surely make you emotional. Jeet Gannguli’s music is excellent and Rashmi Singh and Virag Mishra’s lyrics are fantastic. The lyrics fantastically express the pain of the characters. Above all is the amazing voice of Arijit Singh which does justice to the music and lyrics. There is also an encore version of the track sung by Jeet Gannguli. It’s a nice version but fails to reach the level of Arijit’s version. Ratings: 4.5/5 Next comes in ‘Humnava’, a beautiful romantic track with pleasant music. It’s a song which will make you feel romance around you. Mithoon’s music successfully takes us in a romantic mood and Papon’s voice perfectly gels well with the music. Sayeed Quadri’s lyrics are meaningful and will surely remind you of your loved one. It’s a perfect number to enjoy close dance with your loved one. Ratings: 4/5 After two songs sung by male singers, we finally hear the melodious voice of Deepali Sathe in the track ‘Yeh Kaisi Jagah’. It’s a wonderful track from a female’s point of view and Jeet’s music is offbeat in this one. Deepali has done an exceptional job with her voice in the track and Zubeen Garg has supported her amazingly. Rashmi Singh and Virag Mishra’s lyrics are commendable. Ratings: 3.5/5 And the last track in the album is ‘Hasi’, once again a sweet melodious romantic number wonderfully composed and sung by Ami Mishra. Ami’s music is excellent and the beats are a bit high-on tempo which is quite good for a romantic number. Ami has also sung it fantastically. Kunaal Vermaa’s lyrics are awesome; it directly touches our hearts. There is also a female version of the track sung by none other than the talented Shreya Ghoshal. The female version takes the bar to a higher level and Shreya’s voice as always is mind-blowing. Ratings: 4.5/5 The positive element of the album is that though all the songs are of the same genre i.e. romantic, all the music directors have tried something totally different from each other. The lyrics of the songs are the hero in the album. Not many songs have lyrics that leave a mark. On the whole, music album of ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ has exceptional romantic and soulful tracks.
