The film has been directed by Onir and marks the debut of model Zain Khan Durrani and National Award-winning actress Geetanjali Thapa in the lead. The story revolves around love in the digital age and times of social media of two characters – RJ Alfaaz and meme artist - Archana. Zain and Geetanjali didn't know each other before they shot their first scene together. This film is based on love in the digital age and hence the lead pair have a few scenes together. They have been shown conversing with WhatsApp or phone calls almost all throughout the movie. Onir made sure he shoots their separate scenes first so that the anticipation and expressions of meeting an unknown face seem natural. Hence, Zain and Geetanjali only met the first time during their scene together which was right at the end of the schedule. The concept of 'Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz' is now out and the movie looks fresh and with this effort of showing the actors authentic expressions, it surely becomes a wait worthwhile. Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz is an interesting take on modern day love, where two strangers remain hidden behind digital screens, sparking off an unlikely romance.
