Saif Ali Khan Approached To Star In Kamal Haasan’s AMAR HAIN

Thursday, 4th June 2015, 3:10 PM IST Actor Kamal Haasan is all set for his Bollywood comeback with the film ‘Amar Hain’ which will be also directed by him. The makers of the film have approached Saif Ali Khan to play parallel lead in it. Kamal confirmed the news and said, "I put it aside because of prior commitments and strangely, even when I wrote it around six years ago, I was only thinking of Saif Ali Khan." He further said that it’s an ensemble cast film and there’s nothing in the film like who is the hero in it. "It's the might of many actors which makes a film work. Saif has an important and equal role. His character is the good man, so he is the hero of the film," Kamal said. When he was asked if Saif has given a nod for the film, Kamal said, "We are working on it. The producers have spoken to him. I am yet to speak with him, but he is aware of this project." The movie will be shot in Delhi, Mumbai, London, Dubai, Jordan and parts of the US. It will tackle the current scenario of politics, finance and the underworld. "It's definitely not a comedy, it's more of an action film with lots of emotion, an ensemble piece like ‘The Untouchables’," he said. Talking about his character, the 61-year-old actor said, "I won't be singing duets but there is love and hate. You can't call him an antagonist because he simply expresses another point of view." He also added that there are two important female roles for which he is considering actresses from Mumbai.
