Vidhu Vinod Chopra Reveals It Took 5 Years To Complete The Script Of WAZIR

Thursday, 4th June 2015, 3:13 PM IST Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who is the co-producer as well the co-writer of Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘Wazir’, at the second teaser launch of the film, revealed that it took five years to complete the script of the film. Chopra, who has co-written the film with Abhijat Joshi, said, "We've spent five years to create the characters of Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. I'm extremely grateful to them for bringing these characters to life." When he was asked why it took him so long for writing process, Chopra said, "It takes us 4-5 years to write our scripts if you see our films. And that is the reason, our films are of a certain level. We are not a studio and we don't have to pay salaries to 400 people. We are not in any hurry. We are bit lazy too. Right from 'Parinda' to 'PK', all have taken time to write, as we only back those projects we believe in."
