Monday, 12th June 2017, 05:30 PM IST In 2013, ‘Bombay Talkies’, which was a collection that celebrated the 100 years of Indian Cinema and consisted of four short films was made by the ace film makers like Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap. This time around, producer Ashi Dua is back again with the same set of film makers. According to a leading daily, producer Ashi Dua is back with another collaborative effort. “It won’t be called ‘Bombay Talkies 2’ for sure,” she points out, adding that the tentative title is ‘Love and Lust’. “I went back to all the four directors but was ready to approach other filmmakers had any one from the original line-up had turned me down. But they immediately agreed and I couldn’t be happier,” she says. Zoya and Dibakar have completed their films whereas Karan and Anurag films are yet to be shot. Zoya’s film will feature Bhumi Pednekar, Neil Bhoopalam and Rasika Duggal, Dibakar’s film will feature Manisha Koirala in a never before role. The second instalment is expected to hit screens by the year-end or early next year. It will be interesting to watch the short films by such brilliant people as ‘Bombay Talkies’ also garnered critical appreciation.
