Bollywood films have been stepping up their game lately for the untapped international market, considering the spectacular success of Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ in China. The traditional Indian cinema overseas market comprises of around 50 territories including USA, UK, the Gulf countries, Australia and New Zealand. The producers and distributors of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ are expanding their reach to a newer level by adding 20 more territories such as Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, Croatia, Estonia, and Latvia. The Bollywood industry has shot at most of these locations before but never has an Indian film released in these markets before. ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ becomes the first one to do so. Prerna Arora and Arjun N Kapoor of Kriarj Entertainment, the producers of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, commented on the same saying “With ‘Rustom’ widely accepted and loved across the world, we were emboldened to go for a bigger and more aggressive release."
