Nawazuddin Siddiqui Wants to Essay Mr India in Remake

Tuesday, 4th July 2017, 07:00 PM IST Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are sharing screen space for the first time in ‘Mom. Like everyone, Nawazuddin is also a Sridevi fan. Recently, when Nawaz was asked which character would he like to play in a remake of any of Sridevi's movies. He answered: "There are many movies of Sridevi which I love, like ‘Lamhe’, ‘Chandani’, ‘Mr. India’, ‘English Vinglish’. But I would love to play the role of Mr. India in the remake of the film." Anil Kapoor played Arun Verma aka Mr. India in the movie, and Nawazuddin wants to step into his shoes. The film was produced by Boney Kapoor. There has been much talk around a ‘Mr. India’ sequel over the past few years. Time will tell if Nawaz’s this wish come true or not. We are still awaiting for an official confirmation on the sequel.
