Shweta Tripathi and Suraj Sharma To Star In A Film On ‘The Illegal’ Immigrants

Friday, 29th September 2017, 03:00 PM IST Shweta Tripathi who gathered a lot of appreciation in her last critically acclaimed ‘Haramkhor’ opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui is now all set to start shooting another film titled ‘The Illegal’. Shweta, who received a lot of appreciation for her debut film ‘Masaan’, will also make her mark internationally too with ‘Zoo’, India’s first feature to be shot on the iPhone, which has been selected for Busan International Film Festival, Shweta is the lead in this new Indo-American film. As far as ‘The Illegal’ is concerned, Tripathi will be seen with actor Suraj Sharma who was last seen in ‘Phillauri’ and made his much talked about debut with ‘Life of Pi’. ‘The Illegal’ is a gritty realistic story about the social underclass, illegal immigrants working in Los Angeles. Suraj plays the illegal immigrant in the film whereas Shweta plays Mahi, Suraj’s sister who always encourages him to have faith in himself, to follow his heart and dreams. A very self assured girl who during testing times becomes the back bone of the family. When asked, Shweta replied, “I love working with people from different parts of the world.
