Thursday, 20th Nov 2014,2:18 PM IST Few days ago, we had reported that Censor Board of Film Certification has told the makers of ‘Happy Ending’ to mute the word ‘naked’ in the film. And now, it is said that they have passed out the word ‘penis’ in the film. The word ‘naked’ was asked to be muted, but words like ‘penis’ and ‘ch***ya’ have been passed easily. Talking about the issue, a CBFC member said, "We let the word ch**iya pass if it isn't uttered too often in a film. But, the word penis should never be passed." The CBFC member further added, "The print that was screened for us was barely audible and a lot of what was being said on screen, was pure guesswork on our part." Director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are surely not happy as the word ‘naked’ has been told to be mute. But Raj points out that as they have allowed ‘ch***ya’ because it is not said often in the film, even word ‘naked’ is not said often. Raj said, "Can we please get a glossary on which words to not use for a U certificate and which will get us a U/A certificate? The review system is so ad hoc." Talking about the word ‘penis’ Raj said, "It was actually a reference to peanuts which Ranvir Shorey and Saif have while having a drink. But perhaps it doesn't sound like peanuts." The CBFC member reasons, "The CBFC is shorton staff. Nothing other than the I & B Minister has changed, with Arun Jaitley coming in place of Prakash Javadekar."
