Friday, 28th Nov 2014, 5:18 PM IST Due to creative differences, many collaborations have come to an end. The same thing has happened between fashion designer Aki Narula and director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, resulting in Aki walking out of Mehra’s next film ‘Mirziya’. Aki was supposed to design clothes for Harshwardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher. But, the designer’s commitments to his fashion label became a hurdle which kept delaying the the work for ‘Mirziya’. A source said, "Still, he spent months prepping for the costumes as Mehra was very specific about his actors' looks." However, when Aki presented his work to Mehra, he wasn't impressed. The source added, "Aki realised their association wouldn't work out well as the two weren't on the same page as far as this film was concerned. Moreover, a lot of money had already been spent and there was no sight of the film going in to production." So, Aki decided to walk out of the film. "The film would have started in September if things had gone smoothly with Aki. However, he has now moved on to Imtiaz Ali's ‘Tamaasha’, the shooting of which is currently underway in Shimla. Meanwhile, the shooting of ‘Mirziya’ has commenced in Jodhpur with a new designer," said the source.
