Watch it if you like interesting thriller
Detailed Analysis: Nikhil Advani has given some really big disappointments in last 10 years or so i.e. 'Salaam E Ishq', 'Chandani Chowk To China', 'Patiala House', 'D Day' and most recent 'Hero'. And now for some strange reasons he has got responsibility of re - launching career of Imran Khan with best actress of current time Kangana Ranaut.
Rishi Kapoor plays a Mr Bhalla, who runs a bakery in a hill station called Kasol. He is never seen to be baking anything. All he does is to yell and shout at his wife, and sonny boy Inder (played by Supriya Pathak and Abhishek Bachchan, respectively). Why? That’s a mystery. Ms Pathak is to be found in an ‘ashram’, looking vacantly about. Abhishek switches locations from a Bangkok poolside with bikinied babes to the winding roads of Kasol, where he encounters college-mate Nimmi (Asin, colourless) who has feelings for him. Why anyone would have a tender spot for someone as indifferent as Inder is an even bigger mystery. Up pops a long-haired goon called Cheema who’s only job is to twirl a gun, and threaten people. Why the talented Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub took on this thankless part is a … yes, you got that. It’s a puzzle. Plot? Non-existent. The jokes? Screamingly unfunny. Rishi Kapoor doing ‘su-su’, singing ‘aiyi-aiyi-aiyi’? Groan. When will grown men wanting to urinate stop becoming an acceptable gag in Bollywood? Can someone solve this? It’s always good to see Supriya Pathak, but when will someone come up with a substantial part for her? - See more at: http://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/movie-review/all-is-well-movie-review-abhishek-bachchan-asin/#sthash.7CQEWPe9.dpufRishi Kapoor plays a Mr Bhalla, who runs a bakery in a hill station called Kasol. Janardan Arora aka Johnny (Kunal Kemmu) is a Casanova who is happy with his life until his boss, Ramona Bakshi (Manasi Scott) forces him to become a contract killer for her, in exchange of not reporting his illegal insider trading activities. Ramona sends him off for three days to Pattaya to kill Tanya (Zoa Morani). Not prepared to turn a murderer, Johnny’s story gets a supernatural twist as he meets a genie. Ahem! Difficult to digest but yes, director Vikram Bhatt is his spirit guide and he gives Johnny a choice of leading two lives to tackle the situation. One in which he kills Tanya and the second one where he flees saving her life. What will happen in the end? Which life will Johnny choose? Why is Tanya’s murder important for Ramona? This is what the film culminates further into. Performance wise Kunal Khemu is very good as he tries his best to infuse life in somewhat tepid affair. Zoa Morani again delivers an honest act but lack of her glam quotient and poor writing let her down. Mandana Karimi is gorgeous and so is Urvashi Routela in item song. Film had very interesting story idea but poor screenplay hurt film badly and then cliche dialogues dent it further. Film has sharp editing. Music is good with couple of hot numbers. Cinematography is average and production design is decent.
Director Shivam Nair falters and falters big time with such a poor screenplay and direction despite good story idea. Film released today and it will get poor reviews and it will fail to score any kind of numbers due to stale factor and no face value. This is another flop from T series after horrible 2015 with 'I Love NY', 'All Is Well', 'Roy'.
Go for this one if you do not mind an interesting concept being messed up! |
