Monday, 2nd May 2016, 12:14 PM IST BAAGHI Had A Fantastic First Weekend Tiger Shroff Shraddha Kapoor starrer Sajid Nadiadwala film ''''''''Baaghi'''''''' opened across 2750 screens in India and 344 screens overseas approximately. Film is an action romantic drama which always pulls crowd at ticket windows. Film has created huge buzz among masses and trade though weak music has pulled it back to an extent. Film opened to 30% occupancy overall but opening is skewed in favor of mass centers. Film is witnessing huge craze in smaller centers and obviously its average in urban centers which was expected. Film should improve overall from evening onwards. In today''s time such massy films do not come often as everyone is busy making similar kind of films for 5 cities with heavy multiplex population. Film collected 11.94 cr nett on day one which is fantastic number considering Tiger is one film old and music of the film did not do wonders. Film did equally well on 2nd day with 11.13 cr nett with only little drop as such films tend to drop big. Film has collected 15.51 cr nett on Sunday. Film has got decent to mixed reviews and anyways this genre never grows drastically so it should have 35 cr nett weekend exactly what we predicted. But this box office performance is an evidence that Tiger is a bankable star for massy film better than most of the media hyped and page 3 actors. Film also did superb 8,50,000 $ (5.90 cr) in overseas in two days. Below are the collection for the film -
