'Sultan' an Ali Abbas Zafar film is a Sports Drama starring Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda & Amit Sadh. Let’s listen to the tracks to know what’s in store for Bhayjaan’s fans.
The first song of the album ‘Baby Ko Base Pasand Hai’ is a folk western fast track sung grippingly by Vishal Dadlani, Shalmali kholgade Ishita and rapped by Badshah. It’s been nicely penned down by Irshad Kamil making it a catchy number. This ones the one that the fan’s will dance to in small towns after all Baby ko Bhai ka bass pasand hai!!!!! Ratings: 3.5/5
The controversial ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ (could have been Arijit Singh only if…… ) however sung romantically by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in his raw earthy voice making it a perfect match for Sultan’s voice & character. This one’s a cute hummable number. Ratings: 3.5/5
The next song in the album is ‘440 Volt’ sung by Mikka Singh is a western track in Hinglish with Irshad Kamil’s style of writing. It has nothing exceptional to get noticed. The only reason you may remember it after watching it is because it features Salman. Ratings: 2/5
The title track ‘Sultan’ is composed as a rock western track using Shukwinder Singh & Shadab Faridi’s voices giving it the Desi touch that would be required to get those goose bumps. What’s really gripping about the song are the lyrics by Irshad Kamil which give u the patriotic feeling for the country relating it to the wonderful sport that wrestling is. Ratings: 3/5
The next track in the album is ‘Sachi Muchi’ is a cute song this one’s going to pick up post the release of the film take my word for it. It’s a young wooing number superbly sung by Mohit Chauhan & Harshdeep Kaur and has a very country side feel to it. A difficult composition but a fab job done by Vishal-Shekhar Ratings: 3/5
‘Bulleya’ is a beautiful romantic song sung by Papon in his remarkable singing vocals to Irshad Kamil’s lyrics. A perfect dedication when the person you love needs a little pampering. Ratings: 3.5/5
The next song in this musical album is ‘Tuk Tuk’ crooned by the Nooran Sisters& accompanied by Vishal is a typical dance track with foot tapping beats nicely mixed with rap. What really works is that it’s western but still grounded with earthiness. It’s an enjoyable track. Ratings: 3/5
‘Jag Ghoomeya’ in Neha Bhasin’s voice is soulful & pleasant to listen to. Ratings: 3.5/5 ‘Rise of Sultan’ an amazing composition perfect for the plot & the sport. Ratings: 3.5/5
The album of ‘Sultan’ is a super entertaining one mixed with melody & power it’ll help in keeping it’s viewer hooked giving them the patriotic feeling throughout the film & the sport which has indeed contributed in a big way giving India the fame it required in sport when most of our other sports have disappointed us. Salman Bhai surely knows what it takes to keep his fans entertained. Nice come back for the duo Vishal – Shekharas well. Ratings: 3.5/5
