Batti Gul Meter Chalu, also starring Shraddha Kapoor, Yami Gautam and Divyendu Sharma is a story of inflated electricity bills in rural India Shree Narayan Singh, whose first movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha was also based on a social issue worked well amongst the critics as well as the audience. The only major complain the critics had was its production values. With Batti Gul Meter Chalu it''s to be seen whether he has taken them a notch above. The box office figures of Batti Gul Meter Chalu showed a healthy growth on Saturday and maintained the same on Sunday. The collections of the second one were as such: Friday, 6.76 cr, Saturday 7.96 cr and yesterday i.e Sunday it earned 8.54 cr. Hence the total came up to 23.26 cr. Batti Gul Meter Chalu stays stable at box office by collecting 3.16 cr on its 1st Monday and 2.91 cr on its 1st Tuesday. Experiencing a sustainable hike, the movie collects 2.65 cr on its 1st Wednesday. The total collection of the movie now becomes 31.98 cr.
