MADRAS CAFE Drops Big On Day 8"Madras Cafe" performed well over the 1st week but film failed to sustain in big way on weekdays after superb weekend. And now film dropped so big on 2nd Friday that even breaking even for producers will be tough from here on.
Film collected 1.35 cr nett on 2nd Friday which was a drop of 70% from 1st Friday and 30% from Thursday which is too bad. Film has collected 35 cr nett in 8 days and even jumps in next two days will take it close to 40 cr nett.
Film might end up short of 50 cr nett lifetime which is bad for a film made on budget of 35 cr (including P & A). Film will not recover more than 12 cr from ancillary rights (10 cr satellite rights has been sold) which means maximum earning of 30-32 cr which is still below average.
