KICK Drops On Monday As Heavy Rain Takes A TollAs we reported in our report Friday morning, Salman Khan starrer ''Kick'' managed very good numbers on day one. Film was released in huge 4000 plus screens in India and with increased ticket price, film was expected to score a big number on day one which happened followed by somewhat similar sort of day two and bumper Sunday.
Film collected 26.50 cr nett on day one and was expected to jump on Saturday. But strangely film was again down in noon shows and jump came only after 6 PM. Film maintained its momentum in Gujarat, Rajasthan and CP but Mumbai and Delhi were just very good but not great. Film collected 27.15 cr nett on day two.
Yesterday again film started with super strong occupancy in morning but excessive rain affected shows from noon onwards in Maharashtra/Mumbai. Film is solid in Delhi, Central India and Gujarat but then film is still just good in UP, Bihar and Nizam. Film collected 30.18 cr nett on day three.Film will hit by pre Eid Ramzaan festivities and that will peg it back by at least couple of crores. Film has collected 83.83 cr nett over weekend and this is somewhat similar to what we predicted 5 days back. Today is litmus test for the film at box office.
Film started well on Monday and drop was only 40% from Friday but film failed to grow from evening onwards as rain affected collections badly in Mumbai, Rajasthan and few other centers. As per early trends, film should collect close to 14.41 cr nett on Monday which is a drop of 45% from Friday.
Film has collected 98.24 cr nett in 4 days and now next two days are very crucial for the film. Film has to clock close to 45-50 cr nett in next two days. In overseas market, film was good over the weekend and collected anywhere close to 21 cr nett in 4 days. Overall huge box office bonanza is on the card worldwide.
