''How To Train Your Dragon 2'' was never expected to take a big start but rather decent start was expected going by the franchise value and appeal among children. That is why film had good weekend followed by strong Monday.
Film was good over weekend as it collected 20 lakhs in paid previews on Thursday, 1.01 cr nett on Friday, 1.89 cr nett on Saturday and 2.15 cr nett On Sunday. Film collected 5.25 cr nett over weekend which was good considering niche release. Film added 65 lakhs on Monday which was just drop of 35% from Friday.
Film added 60 lakhs on Tuesday, 58 lakhs on Wednesday and 68 lakhs on Thursday. Film collected 50 lakhs, 80 lakhs and 1 cr nett over 2nd weekend. Film added 30 lakhs on 2nd Monday. Film is super solid in 2nd week.
Film has collected 10.64 cr nett in 11 days and now film is heading for 12 cr nett lifetime numbers. Film has done phenomenal numbers and is better than many other high profile Hollywood releases.
