YAARIYAN Finishes With 38 Cr Nett Lifetime
''Yaariyan'' was the first dark horse of 2014 and managed to beat its fancier rival ''Dedh Ishqiya'' riding on fresh faces and hit music. Film proved to be another musical hit from T series after ''Aashiqui 2''.
''Yaariyan'' collected 20 cr nett over the weekend and finished week one around 31 cr nett plus. Film managed to stay ahead over weekend one but now lagging behind ''Dedh Ishqiya'' due to not so great word of mouth. But still film has done superb business considering new cast and budget.
Film collected 75 lakhs on 2nd Friday and further added 95 lakhs on 2nd Saturday. Film further added 1.25 cr nett on Sunday, 55 lakhs each on Monday and Tuesday followed by 50 lakhs on Wednesday and Thursday each. Film added further 40 lakhs over 3rd weekend.
Film has collected 36.90 cr nett in 17 days and will finish now with 38 cr nett lifetime business which is fantastic. Though a bit better word of mouth and film would had collected 50 cr nett after such a strong week one.
Film had COP of 9 cr and P & A around 10 cr which means total budget of 19 cr. Film has recovered 7-9 cr from satellite and other revenues and it seems that it will do business of 35 cr nett minimum from here lifetime and that takes film to the hit zone for sure with share of 15 cr approx. It seems that we have first hit of 2014!
