FUGLY Had Disappointing Day One, HOLIDAY Scores Big 8th Day

''Fugly'' was never expected to take a big start but rather decent start was expected going by the hit songs and youth theme. But film opened to shocking numbers and expected growth in the evening was missing.

''Fugly'' was close to 15% in morning and then it grew to only 35% across the board by evening which was poor. North was better due to local flavor but rest of India did not look well. As per early trends, even 1.50 cr nett number looks difficult though film might cross 1.25 cr nett due to better numbers in north.

''Holiday'' continued to its good run and was strong in central India. Film was better in almost all the places than new releases and film grew considerably from evening onwards. As per early estimates, film should collect close to 3.90-4.25 cr nett which will be a huge number.

Other new releases ''18.11'', ''Machli Jal Ki Rani Hai'', ''Chal Bhaag'' and ''Unforgettable'' were washout. None of these film will touch 15 lakhs nett day one. Hollywood release ''How To Train Dragon 2'' was better in metros.
