However, the shooting of the film has been postponed as the superstar is keen to work with Rajinikanth in ‘Robot 2’. A source said, "Akshay is excited about working with Rajini sir in ‘Robot 2’. So, after wrapping up Neeraj Pandey's romantic thriller 'Rustom' in the first quarter of 2016, he will work on 'Robot 2'." While Vipul Shah was unavailable for comment, a source close to the project said, "Yes, he wants to finish shooting for 'Robot 2' first. As it is, we are still working out the dates of other actors and as soon as that gets sorted, we will go on floors."
