Kapil Sharma All Set For His Second Film

Monday, 28th Mar 2016, 4:32 PM IST Kapil Sharma, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’, is all set for his second big screen outing. The actor will be seen in Rajiv Dhingra’s next flick. Rajiv and Kapil were earlier going to collaborate for a film titled ‘Love Punjab’. But as Kapil was busy with his TV show, the former made the movie with Amrinder Gill. However, now they are all set to collaborate for a character-driven story that he is scripting. "It is about an underdog with Kapil in the lead. And since he is an actor of the masses with a national fan following, we have decided to make this film in Hindi," Rajiv said. Kapil and Rajiv grew up together in Amritsar and moved to Mumbai. Kapil joined ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ in 2007 and Rajiv went on to direct Kapil in ‘Comedy Circus’ as well as in ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’. "When Kapil signed his first film, Abbas-Mustan's ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’, he told me that it was time for me too to direct films; so I moved up from my 15-year-long career in TV as writer-director," Rajiv said. He has other two scripts which he has also discussed with Kapil. He said, "They will be emotional comedies. We have to decide which one will roll first."
