Business Rating: 1/5
Verdict:
Watch it only for Harman Baweja
Detailed Analysis:
Harman Baweja delivered some biggest duds in 'Love Story 2050', 'Whats Your Rashee' and 'Victory'. Now he is back after 3 years to re establish himself through this gangster saga produced by Shilpa Shetty and backed by Sunny Deol as supporting actor. Filmasks you to suspend belief while watching some blatant glamourisation of mafia dons, the reason behind Vicki (Harman Baweja) turning to criminality is lame. At 13, we are told he was studying in a school filled with chubby bullies. His father (Rajat Kapoor), who extols the virtues of Gandhian non-violence, advises him to go easy on his evil classmates. If that was not enough, Vicki meets a local gangster named Mota Tony to seek his help. Unlike his peace-loving father, Tony gives Vicki the moral courage needed to beat his bullies into a pulp. A unique father-son bond is formed and Vicki gets a taste of that dangerous, giddy world of drugs and sleaze. He’s desperate to reach the top of the mafia food chain and even agrees to spend four years in prison to achieve that dream. That’s where he meets his prison inmate Lakwa, played by an ageing Sunny Deol. From here onwards its difficult to remember what unfolded on screen, bizarre shootouts, unintentional comic dialogues and pathetic screenplay.
Music of the film is another disappointment and all the songs are really boring. Even Shilpa Shetty fails to bring much needed energy to the proceedings with her cameo. Camerawork is average and editing is racy. Dialogues and screenplay spoil the complete settings. But it is director Sanamjit Singh Talwar who fails miserably in all departments. Neither story idea was great nor any part of execution, director really needs a reality check. Film will release today and should get 1000 screens. Film will be affected by clash factor but with such content and not great word of mouth, film will find it difficult to survive at box office. It will be a complete washout at box office!
