Wednesday, 3rd September 2014, 05:00 PM IST Firoz Nadiadwala is all set to clash with his once-good-friend Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. Buzz is, the producer has decided to release his upcoming film ‘Welcome Back’ on January 23. The date was already booked by Akki for two of his films, ‘Gabbar’ and ‘Baby’.
The duo fell out when Akki refused to star in the filmmaker’s third instalment of popular series ‘Hera Pheri’. Firoz had earlier said, “I first started discussing the third instalment of ‘Hera Pheri’ with Akshay in 2006. I never wanted to make it without him. It's sad that we couldn't come to an agreement. Akshay is like a brother to me. But I can't afford him.”
Later on however, the film's director Anees Bazmee, who flew to Dubai for the last schedule on Tuesday, said he’d prefer a January release. “I don't want to wrap up the film in a hurry. ‘Welcome’ did well; I want ‘Welcome Back’ to do better.” |
