Saturday, 13th September 3:46 PM IST Irrfan Khan opted of Vashu Bhagnani’s ‘Welcome To Karachi’ at the last minute. The filmmaker was having a lot of trouble to get another actor for the film. However, now Jaccky Bhagnani, Vashu's son, has replaced Irrfan Khan in the film. Vashu revealed that Ashiesh Mohan, the director of the film, who has assisted Rohit Shetty in his ‘Golmaal’ series decided to cast Jackyy in the film. Talking about his son doing the film, Vashu said, "I'm sure that my son will do a good job.” It is said that Irrfan opted out of the film because he didn’t want to work with a British actress, who has been cast as the female lead. Irrfan says, "Not just the actress, even the other actors who were supposed to be working with me on the project, are not there in the final cast.Co-actors are very crucial for this film to work." Talking about the British actress, Vashu said, "It's the director's prerogative whom to cast. Ashiesh wanted a British girl in the lead. She goes by the name KK in London and can emote well. Ashiesh and I are fully aware of what we are doing." The movie also stars Arshad Warsi, who wants to complete the film in one schedule. Vashu said, "Arshad has stood by me through this crisis. He's worked with Jackky in F.A.L.T.U. and is kicked about working with him again." Music composers Anand-Milind, who have been away from the limelight from around a decade will reportedly give music in ‘Welcome to Karachi.’ |
