Wednesday, 18th Sept2014, 4:38 PM IST Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor’s joint production venture titled ‘Badtameez Dil’ based on William Makepeace Thackeray's classic novel‘Vanity Fair’ was announced a year ago, but the film has been getting postponed repeatedly. Even the lead actors of the film Emraan Hashmi and Kareena Kapoor Khan have opted out of the film. It was later heard that Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt will be seen in the film, but then there was no development about it. Recently, it was said that model Disha Patani will be making her Bollywood debut with the film, however now she has moved onto Karan Johar’s next production venture titled ‘No Sex Please, We're Indians’ as ‘Badtameez Dil’ is on a back burner once again. Reportedly, Karan thought that Disha was perfect for ‘No Sex Please, We're Indians’ and that’s why chose her for it. A source said, "He felt that Disha would be more apt for another of his productions, Sonam Nair's adult comedy, ‘No Sex Please,We're Indians’.” “Now, ‘Vanity Fair’ has been indefinitely delayed. They're still trying to salvage it, but can't get the right actors. Sonam's film will go on floors first with Disha," added the source. |
