Monday, 5th Jan 2015,12:45 PM IST Music Director: Sajid-Wajid, Imran Khan Lyricist: Kausar Munir, Danish Sabri, Sajid ‘Tevar’ starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha is all set to hit the screens on 9th Jan 2014. It’s the first big release of 2015. ‘Tevar’ is a masala film with a lot of action, romance and comedy. And in every masala film music is an important part. The music of the film is out, and Box Office Capsule has reviewed it for you. The first song in the album is ‘Superman, Salman Ka Fan’. The track is a funky number with some masala lyrics in it. The music is refreshing, but Wajid’s voice fails to make an impact. However, overall the track comes out to be an enjoyable number. The remix version of the song sung by Mika Singh is better than the original one. Rating: 3/5 With the next track ‘Radha Nachegi’, get ready to shake your leg. It’s an amazing number with foot tapping beats. The mixture of Indo-western in the song is balanced very well. Ritu Pathak, Shabab Sabri and Danish Sabri’s vocals are fantastic and take the track to a higher level. Ratings: 4/5 ‘Let's Celebrate’, the next track in the album is a peppy track composed by Imran Khan. It’s a nice foot tapping number, but unfortunately, on the whole it fails to entertain. Imran Khan has tried his best to make this song a party track with his voice, music and lyrics. But, somehow he fails. Ratings: 2/5 With Shruti Haasan’s melodious voice we enter into a wonderful romantic song titled ‘Joganiyan’. The track has impressive music and Shruti’s voice is just terrific in the song. Kausar Munir’s lyrics makes an impact. This can be said as the perfect romantic track for the season. Ratings: 4/5 As ‘Tevar’ is a masala flick ‘ek item number toh banta hai, boss’. And yes, the next is the item song ‘Madamiyan’. On the lines of ‘Munni Badnaam’ and ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’, ‘Madamiyan’ succeeds in making us groove. Voices of Mika Singh and Mamta Sharma are perfect in the track. Ratings: 3/5 Moving forward, once again we get a romantic track titled ‘Main Nai Jaana Pardes’. It’s a nice number but not better than ‘Joganiyan’. Singer Shafqat Amanat Ali has done justice to the track. Ratings: 2.5/5 And the last track in the album is ‘Tevariffic’. It is actually a mashup of all the tracks in the album. Well, it has nothing new, just a mixture of all the songs. Ratings: 2/5 On the whole, Sajid-Wajid and Imran Khan impress us with the music, but the songs won’t stay on one’s playlist for a long time. The album fails to make an impact.
