Friday, 9th Oct 2015, 4:24 PM IST Randeep Hooda will be seen as Charles Sobhraj in Prawaal Raman's ‘Main Aur Charles’. For the film, the actor learned the French language. Raman said, "I had written the character in a manner that demanded Randeep to be well-versed with French. When I proposed the idea to Randeep, he readily agreed to learn the language." "And a week before we shot, he had mastered the language," the director added. While they were shooting in Thailand, the hotel's manager noticed that the actor was speaking in a heavy French accent. "He asked if Randeep had lived in France and that's when we knew that he had got his speech bang on," said Raman. Recalling about a scene, Raman said, "Randeep had to say an English dialogue in his French accent. He said, ‘You know, local people don't like the Eiffel Tower. They say it's ugly and they want to get rid of it. Paris is really all about walking the streets, getting wet in the rain and kissing a stranger. Do you know me?’ And he sounds perfect."
