Nitin Kakkar’s 'Filmistaan' will be the first film to be presented by Salman Khan’s production house, which has apparently been christened Being Filmi Productions. 


The film tells the tale of an aspiring Indian actor who gets abducted and then meets a Pakistani national, who smuggles pirated Hindi movies. It attempts to strike a chord with the audience through humour. It is said that Shringhar Films Pvt Ltd, UTV and Being Filmi Productions will now present this film that has been produced by Satellite Pictures.


Director Nitin Kakkar says, “We are in talks right now and most probably, Salman Khan’s Being Filmi and UTV will be presenting my film.” It may be recalled that back in 2011, Salman Khan had similarly supported Vikas Bahl’s film, Chillar Party.
