And now, producer Vipul Shah recently revealed that he has started working on the sequel of the movie. Vipul said, “I am already working on a script for ‘Holiday 2’. We always knew that Holiday would materialise into a franchise when we thought of making the first part.” But, the producer explains that he isn’t making the sequel to cash in the first film’s success. He said, “We would have made this regardless of box-office numbers. There are some films you know can be turned into a franchise while there are some which should be allowed to just be. Holiday definitely has the potential to become one. Hence, we are planning Holiday 2 now.” He further stated, “He (Akshay) will be on another tour of duty this time. We discussed the sequel even before we released ‘Holiday’ and he was very happy with the idea.” “AR Murugadoss made the first film for us, which was a huge hit. Obviously, I will first approach him to direct ‘Holiday 2’,” he added.
