Bhushan Kumar, the head-honcho of T-Series, said, "Sooraj and Jacqueline liked the concept of the song and Sooraj has already begun rehearsals with Remo D'Souza, who will choreograph as well as direct the music video. He knows how to entertain his audience." Further talking about both the actors' dancing skills, Bhushan said, "Sooraj has proved his mettle as a dancer with his acting debut, and Jacqueline, we all know, is good with her moves. They are exactly what we were looking for to feature in our new single." There is a buzz that the track will be the recreated version of a song from the 90s. However, Bhushan denied the reports and said, "It's a completely new song, a youthful, hip-hop number called "GF" (short for girlfriend)."
