The shooting of Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend’ was reportedly slated to start by the end of this month. However, it is said that it has been delayed due to date mismatch of lead actors, Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
A source said, “First, the makers grappled with casting issues and now that the lead pair has been locked, date issues are haunting them. Arjun and Shraddha are not available together on the required dates, and so, it will take longer for the film to roll. In all probability, the team of 'Half Girlfriend' will start shooting in May.”
A source close to the film said, “The makers won’t be able to go ahead with the shoot by the end of this month, but they have secured the lead pair’s dates in May. The pre-production work is already underway.”
Aman Gill, CEO of Balaji Telefilms, said, “We have locked our actors’ dates and our shoot schedule is being planned accordingly. Until then the actors are doing workshops and basketball training to get into character for the film.”
