Wednesday 13th July 2016, 05:00 PM IST Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Ikka’, the official Hindi remake of South Indian film, ‘Kaththi’ directed by A.R Murugadoss has apparently been postponed again. The movie was supposed to roll by the end of this year but now it won’t start before next year. Reports are that Akshay has liked the plot but wants to tweak some elements in the film, and has asked the filmmakers to make it relevant to the northern markets as well. Hence, Murugadoss and team will finalize the script after the release of ‘Akira’. The Hindi remake will be helmed by Murugadoss’ assistant, Jagan Shakti. A source said, “He loves the plot but Jagan’s treatment has the flavour of a South remake and South remakes are not working right now. The story will now be based in Maharashtra and focus on a water racket. As soon as Akira releases, the director along with his producer and writers will start reworking the story. Kumar, on the other hand, is very excited as a film with a backdrop like this one’s has not been made before. He is excited to do this film with a strong plot.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’sfirst Box Office mobile app from here –Android: http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
