Wednesday, 9th November 2016, 03:00 PM IST CBFC generally faces heat from the makers and the audiences owing to its strict course of action towards feature films. The board’s decision to chop off scenes, blur some shots and muting vulgar language doesn’t go down well with the makers. Now, the board has accepted the recommendations of Shyam Benegal’s committee to introduce more categories of films. A source said, “The Benegal committee has recommended diving the U and UA Categories to – UA12+ and UA15+ and the A category to be sub-divided into A and AC (Adult with Caution) categories.” AC category will be granted to films with excessive adult content.
