Thursday, 27th July 2017, 05:00 PM IST The team of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’has come up with several innovative strategies to promote the film. As the film promotes the message of improving sanitation conditions across India, Akshay Kumar has teamed up with Mumbai city’s BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) clean-up marshals and educate slum-dwellers about waste management. According to a source, “It was Akshay’s idea to get the clean-up marshals of the city together. They understand the city’s inherent issues. He has hosted an event today (July 27) to honour their contribution in keeping Mumbai moving seamlessly. Post that, the actor and his team will work with counselors and BMC officials in teaching slum dwellers not to dump garbage into the drains and even educate them about waste management.” It is such a thoughtful step to make things better. We really appreciate this step of Akshay Kumar.
