Saturday, 19th August 2017, 08:00 PM IST Ashutosh Gowariker has always been fond of period dramas. Even if he excelled in this genre, his recent film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ failed badly, that hasn’t discouraged his spirit. He is gearing up for making yet another film in the same genre. We heard that he is working on a film based on a factual incident of World War II and will be showcasing the righteous work by a king. A source said that Ashutosh is planning to revive the story of a forgotten hero, a Maharaja who had provided shelter to over 640 Polish children by setting up a home for them during World War II. They were refugee orphans who were provided a safety home at the Jamnagar palace by this king. Also, Ashutosh has not only approached the royal family for the rights of the film but has also received approval from them. It is being said that he has even received help from five of the Polish survivors who are currently residing in Poland. The film is in its initial stages, all other important details are yet to be finalized.
