Monday, 9th Feb 2015, 3:34 PM IST Manoj Bajpayee, who is currently shooting for Hansal Mehta's ‘Aligarh’, recently stated that both heterosexuals and homosexuals feel the same way. When Manoj was asked about playing a totally different role from what he played (a womanizer) in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, he said, “Their sexual orientation may be different, but both heterosexuals and homosexuals feel the same way. The roles may be poles apart, but the emotions aren't all that different.” Talking about film facing controversies at the time of its release, he said, “We're not making a film which is out to shock. ‘Aligarh’ is an honest film, made with a lot of conviction. I'm sure neither the censors nor anybody else will not find anything objectionable about it.” The actor also cleared that he was offered a remake of South film based on Ram Gopal Varma, but he is not doing it. He said, “Yes, the role did come to me. It's not a caricature of Ramu but analyses the genius of a mind like his. I think the original was made with his consent. But we couldn't agree creatively on certain aspects of the script so I won't be doing the Hindi remake.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’s first Box Office mobile app from here –Android:http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS:bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
