Kind Eyes Of Varun Dhawan Helped Him Bag BADLAPUR

Tuesday, 10th Feb 2015, 4:47 PM IST Chocolate boy Varun Dhawan will be seen in a totally different avatar in his upcoming flick ‘Badlapur’. And it was his kind eyes that helped him bag the film. Director Sriram Raghavan said, "I wanted an actor (in this case Varun Dhawan) with very kind eyes. The audiences should immediately connect with his child-like face, his mirth so that the suddenness of his tragedy hits them hard." Talking about looking old, Varun said, "People don't look very aged at 40, so we decided on keeping it subtle. To get the look of a 40-year-old, the brief to my makeup artist was to use minimal prosthetic makeup. The challenge was to bring about the maturity through my body language and speech. My voice is a little childish and a 40-year-old can't sound that way. I worked at perfecting my full-toned, sonorous voice, which made my character sound old in those scenes."
