Sunday, 15th February 01:00 PM IST A huge crowd collected outside the gates of a Juhu hotel, where Farah Khan drove in last week, to make a guest appearance in director Khalid Mohamed’s 'Katha', produced by Anjum Rizvi. Khan and Mohamed are long-time buddies and she agreed to do the cameo without thinking twice and came to the location on the dot of time. The scene featured her with Manish Paul, who reincarnates the part played by Farouque Shaikh in the original directed by Sai Paranjpye, which was released 35 years ago. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub will be seen in the role of the simpleton chawl dweller once played by Naseeruddin Shah. Newcomer Sharmila Mandre steps into the shoes of Deepti Naval. Earlier Khan had choreographed the song Aaja mahiya for Mohamed’s film 'Fiza'. “She’s one person I can call up 24 x 7,” Mohamed states. “I didn’t want to impose on her time but she said just tell me when and where and I’ll be there. Needless to add, she was absolutely spontaneous and witty as soon as the camera was switched on.” |
