''Brothers'' got really mixed reviews and there was not much expectation from the film. But film defied all logic to achieve great day two at box office though cracks started showing up on Sunday.
Film collected 15.20 cr nett on day one which was 2nd highest in 2015 and highest ever opener for Akshay Kumar ever. Film was expected to score big on day two as it was Independence Day, national holiday. Film was extraordinary across the board and had jump of 100%:in territories like CP and Gujarat.
Filmcollected 21.43 cr nett in day two and that is almost 30% jump from Friday. Film did not manage good Sunday as it collected only 15.45 cr nett which was similar to Friday. Film shown drop not only in urban centers but also in multiplexes.
Film has total of 52.08 cr nett in three days, this is highest weekend for Siddharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar. Film fell heavily on Monday and managed 6.23 cr nett followed by 5.11 cr nett on Tuesday and 4.45 cr nett on Wednesday. This was distinct fall and that means now film will struggle to cross 70 cr nett over week one. Film has total of 67.87 cr nett in 6 days and even 90 cr nett lifetime is now a task.
Film collected very good $1,22,000 in Pakistan which was highest non holiday Friday number there for a Bollywood film. Film collected £ 44,880 on opening day in UK which is higher than £ 22,082 of ''Gabbar Is Back'', £ 17,488 of ''Baby'' or £ 35,036 of ''It''s Entertainment''. Film collected 15 cr plus in overseas over weekend which is highest for an Akshay Kumar film and film crossed cross 82 cr gross over weekend worldwide.
