1st Week Worldwide Box Office Collection Of MARDAANI

Friday, 29th August 11:30 AM IST MARDAANI Had Fairly Good Week Rani Mukherjee starrer ''Mardaani'' released last weekend along with few small films and Hollywood films. Film is backed by YRF and that is why it had good visible release and decent marketing push. But sadly film opened to poor numbers on Friday. Film opened to 15-20% and it was poorer than ''Singham Returns'' which was running in 2nd week. Film remained flat on day one but film improved tremendously on Saturday and Sunday. Film collected 3.46 cr nett on day one which was better than other women centric films of recent times i.e. ''Queen'', and ''Dedh Ishqiya''. Film collected 4.73 cr nett on Saturday which was good. Film jumped big on Sunday and collected 6.15 cr nett. Film was good in all over i.e. CI had figures of 11 lakhs, 13.25 lakhs and 20.40 lakhs over weekend (jump of almost 90% from Friday). Film had rather decent Monday and collected 2.43 cr nett which was just 35% drop from Friday. Film added 2.55 cr nett on Tuesday and 2.30 cr nett on Wednesday followed by 2 cr nett on Thursday. Film got push in numbers on Tuesday due to tax free status in UP and CP. Film will have week around 23.62 cr nett and now film needs good 10-15 cr nett 2nd weekend in order to reach 38-40 cr nett. Film has budget of close to 20 cr and it needs business of 45-50 cr nett as it will not fetch much from satellite rights and music rights. Below are the collections for the film -
