PK Is Set To Cross 200 Cr Overseas Total

In December 2014, the audiences were enthralled with the release of the Aamir Khan - Anushka Sharma starrer PK that did roaring business at the box office window. Well the film that went on to become the highest grossing movie in India recently released across the border in China.

In this Box Office report, we take a look at the collections of PK in China. Interestingly, much like the Indian box office, the film has opened on a high note collecting $ 899,000 on Opening day. In fact PK that released across 4600 screens in China has collected a total of $ 3.43 million (Rs. 21.77 cr) in just two days and $ 5.4 million of its release. This is higher than PK''s two day collections in North America, United Kingdom and Middle East each.

With this, PK''s cumulative overseas gross is $ 30.13 million (191.29 cr). The film has also become the highest grossing Hindi film in China in just three days. The earlier grossers were Dhoom 3 at $3.2 million, 3 idiots at $2 million and the surprise being Delhi Safari at $1.55 million. Delhi Safari was an animation film released in 2012 in India which went totally unnoticed grossing around 2 crore nett in India.
