Monday, 1st June 07:25 AM IST TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS Crosses 96 Cr Nett In 10 Days Kangana Ranaut delivered hits like ''Queen'' and ''Tanu Weds Manu'' in last few years. She is now back with another potential super hit film ''Tanu Weds Manu Returns''. Film has advantage to go ''''Piku'''' way due to clear couple of weeks at box office and sequel edge but film exceeded every expectations and is heading towards blockbuster status. Film released across 2300 plus screens and it took fairly good start at box office. Film opened to very good occupancy all over. Reviews were positive and word of mouth was exceptional. Film scored very well in central India and north though it was a bit slow in western and south India. Film had slight competition from ''Piku'' otherwise it will had open run for two weeks, almost like the 1st installment of the film in 2011. Film collected very good 8.85 cr nett on day one followed by 38 cr nett plus over weekend. Film remained super strong on weekdays and with almost similar numbers on each weekday, film crossed 70 cr nett in week one. Film had almost zilch competition on 2nd Friday and it collected huge 6.65 cr nett which is only 10% less than Thursday. Film jumped big 30% on 2nd Saturday and it collected 9.40 cr nett. Film collected huge 12.25 cr nett on Sunday and thus had 28.30 cr nett 2nd weekend total. This is by far highest 2nd weekend in 2015 and it is among all time top 6 total for 2nd weekend. Film has reached 98.37 cr nett in ten days and now film is almost certain to become blockbuster by end of run. Film will cross 100 cr nett by end of today. Even in overseas film has collected healthy figures 27 cr plus in seven days. Its success proves that there is huge demand for a massy content and family film. Blockbuster!
