GORI TERE PYAR MEIN Is A Shocking Disaster On Day One Itself
''Gori Tere Pyar Mein'' released yesterday with much fanfare and Dharma Productions had not left any stone unturned to promote the film. But when film ruling the roost at box office, other films tend to suffer poorly and that is what happened.
''Gori Tere Pyar Mein'' started well in morning shows especially in UP, NCR and few other urban centers. Film has opened to 30% occupancy all India where multiplexes are leading and single screens opened to poor numbers as low as 15%. Film was looking good for 5-6 c nett minimum but there was no growth in evening and other new release ''Singh Saab The Great'' dented it further in north where it was expected to perform.
Film managed very poor numbers from all over the north with UP and Delhi coming lower than smaller films like ''Raanjhana'' and ''Aashiqui 2''. GTPM managed only 3-3.25 cr nett on day one which is shockingly low and now film has lost almost all chances at box office.
Film was badly hit by last week''s star performer ''Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram - Leela'' in Mumbai and Gujarat region where GTPM was non starter. A kind of first big flop from Dharma Productions!
