LOOTERA Decent But Not Big, Policegiri On Expected Lines
It is rare that two Bollywood releases over a weekend are so contrasting in nature targeting complete different set of audience. Both films were expected to do well in respective markets but somewhat strange trend occurred.
"Lootera" opened below par in morning as the case with many films but was expected to grow big during the course of the day. Film grew but not as expected. Film had 15-20% improvement till evening and outside metros the growth was absent. As per early estimates, film might collect 4.25-4.50 cr nett on day one unless night shows see big rush.
Other new release "Policegiri" was not expected to grow big but film managed good business in mass belts especially in single screens and it seems that film might post a good total on day one but yes that will not alter film''s final outcome as there is almost negligible chance of growth from here on.
Hollywood release "The Lone Ranger" was dull all over.
