HIGHWAY Had Strictly Average Week One''Highway'' was limited release and was never expected to do big with 800 screens. Film was poor on day one and after that film only grew marginally over the weekend followed by unimpressive Monday and now further drop on following weekdays.
Film was expected to jump big on day two but film had rather modest day two after poor day one. Film had slight jump of 35% or so on Sunday which was again a bit underwhelming considering low day one.
Film collected 5.75 cr nett on Sunday taking weekend total to 13 cr nett plus. Film added further 2.25 cr nett on Monday followed by drop of 10% on Tuesday with numbers close to 2 cr nett. Film added 1.90 cr nett on Wednesday and 2.25 cr nett on Thursday with the jump due to Mahashivaratri holiday .
Film has collected 1st week total of 22 cr nett plus. Film looks to score 3 cr nett in 2nd weekend and lifetime total of 28 cr nett at best as film will get stiff competition from ''Shaadi Ke Side Effects'' next week.
