GIPPI Had Strictly Average Weekend
"Gippi" started on lower levels and despite appreciations in some quarters, film failed to grow to expected levels due to too niche appeal and no star value.
Film collected 75 lakhs on Friday followed by 95 lakhs on Saturday . Film collected 1.20 cr nett on Sunday as per early estimates taking film''s 1st weekend business to 3 cr nett.
Film should had collected in range of 5 cr nett over weekend in order to have at least 8-10 cr nett lifetime business but now film will fall short around 5-6 cr nett lifetime collection. That means even breaking even for such a small budget film will be tough.
